Ever since 2020, Auckland University of Technology’s annual graduate show for the school of Art and Design has been hosted online. I was creative lead for this project, working with third-year students and AUT staff.
Much like previous years, the brand and visual elements of this exhibition were based on the message of
AUT Art and Design disciplines being a range of individual departments coming together to create one cohesive faculty.
Traditional Maori weaving patterns were used as symbols to signify the unique qualities of each department, woven into a single mat. This graphic was front and centre on the AD22 Website and the rest of the site was built accordingly. Through simple, clean typography along with a minimal colour palette of only warm white and dark grey, the beauty of the graduate work is the highlight of AUT's Art and Design website for 2022.
